The UAE is full of unique off-roading experiences be it in the desert sand or on ever-changing wadis. Off-roading can be challenging even to the most experienced off-road driver, that’s why it’s important to ensure that your vehicles are in tip-top condition whatever route you choose. Here are a few tips from FastFit to get you going!
To make sure your desert experience is as fun and safe as possible, it’s crucial that your tyres are in great condition and prepped properly. The tyre pressure should be dropped to around 15psi (usually it’s around 32-35psi). The best thing to do after each desert drive is to come into a FastFit location and have them checked for any damage.
While an engine can overheat at any temperature, off-roading can be quite strenuous on your car leading it to overheat. To prevent this, ensure your car gets a coolant flush every 40k kilometers and replace belts and hoses every three years, or between 60k-80k kilometers. Also, remember to have your coolant levels checked at every service by the professionals at FastFit.
